At first I was a little worried that the chairs wouldn't look like the pic. I was wrong!!! The chairs are beautiful and it gives my dining room a contemporary look. They were easy to put together and the color was just like the picture. And it has great cushion basically they are comfortable. I would definitely recommend this set.

The front legs

The two front legs need to be inserted into seat bottom and secured by 2 screws each. Then the bottom of the chair must be attached to the back of the chair with 3 screws. The back of the chair and back legs are already one piece, so there is no assembly to them.

I am not sure what the official answer from the manufacturer would be, but we have had these chairs for about 6 months now, and we have entertained many family and friends-- some of them in the 200-280 lb. range. Everyone has enjoyed sitting in them with no problem. The seat cushions are comfortable and thick and provide a good seat width for people of all sizes. I would just mention that once or twice after a dinner gathering, we have had to tighten the leg screws because we noticed that they were a little loose, but guests have sat for hours on the chairs and have never had any issues. I hope this non-official, totally anecdotal info helps!

"The dimensions show a seat depth of 26". That would be a chair from back frame to where your legs drop as over two feet. What is the 26 depth referring to.
