Coaster Company Oak Bench with Basket Storage

Shipping provided almost instant gratification. It was a little overwhelming once I opened the box, but instructions were simple enough. However I did find that the bench seat corner was damaged pretty badly. I hope to get some kind of coloring pen or something to color all the non-oak looking areas.

Received unit and once unwrapped realized there was damaged on two of the four corners of the top piece that you can see easily. So had to work on a replacement of that part. Took a week and then they figured out they could not do just the part. So again we took a week to see if a new one could be sent. Finally then sent an entire replacement. Week later it shows up.... You guess it.... Damaged on three corners. Terrible quality control. Felt like they bad product that was damaged for resale hoping customers would just accept it. Bad business.

I bought this 60 inch model, to use as a storage bench/window seat in my bedroom. Very pleased with my purchase. It has a sturdy construction, and material, & matched my decor perfectly! Arrived securely packaged, but had to be completely assembled. I'm an older woman, although fairly good at putting things together. But in this case, I enlisted the help of my adult Nephew who is very handy, & skilled in putting things together quickly. Otherwise I'm sure I would have spent many hours trying to do it myself. Even he remarked how there were so many pieces involved including screws, bolts, etc. It is also rather heavy, & once assembled it took the two of us to carry it & place it in position in the bedroom. The Oak color is as pictured. The cushion is also firm, smooth, nice quality leather. The backside of the cushion attaches to the bench with velcro fasteners, so it doesn't slide around when you sit on it. Ample enough size, but when centered runs a little short (approximately 1/4") in from the edge of the bench on each end. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I think it's a rather expensive piece, even at the sale price considering you have to assemble it yourself. Haven't decided exactly what items I will store in it yet, but I like the fact that you have multiple storage options with the drawers, & baskets. Very nice, multi-functional piece of furniture.
