This rug is better than described. I wanted a grey blend and with the bits of charcoal and white in the shag rug I can't say better than that. I recently purchased two pewter recliners and waiting for my new sofa darker grey which all match very well with the shag rug's beautiful colors.

I LOVED this rug when I first received it. It’s beautiful and oh so soft. However, less than a year later it became matted and not near as soft as it was. It also kind of grossed me out because there’s no good way to get it really clean because it’s so thick. It would work well in a room with little traffic, but I would not recommend for your main living area.

It's very mottled, with dark and light gray. I would say it leans dark though, as I don't worry about staining. I've had this carpet for 9+ months and still love it.

Yes exactly 8X10, can't begin to tell you how many compliments we have had of this rug. We have a white chevron patterned couch with Grey and black. It feels wonderful walking on it with bare feet. By the way my dog Max loves his naps on it. Like it so well purchased a white and grey for our dining room.

It is mainly a light grey - I would say it has a tan under color to it. It is a very nice rug for the price. I have it in my family room and it really warmed up the room. It is very comfortable and plush.

I agree! I just painted my walls grey and it looks grey! I have tan furniture and it pulls the brown undertone! But when you walk in and notice it it looks grey! When people walk in its the first thing that draws your eye! Everyone goes over to feel it and it defiantly warms your house

Taupe/gray. We have grey walls with brown furniture, and it is a perfect fit. We get tonnnnns of compliments, and it is definitely pet friendly. Our cats have destroyed every carpet we've ever owned EXCEPT this one, because the shag is too deep for their claws. Love, love, love this carpet.

I would consider it a "greige" color. I was looking for something is a warmer "taupe" hue, and this worked perfectly for me. It's not a cool grey at all.

It is definitely multi-gray and white--abaz0solutely no tan; This is a great price!I I am getting ready to sell mine--1we bought grey furniture--lamps--the works thinking we were moving and it did not work out--all of our tile is a light brown swirl--very nice--just does not go with gray and this rug and furniture is in the family rm; I tried to get my husband to tear up the travetine tile (it was very expensive when we built the house)--so we bought new furniture and now I need to sell everything--it is not even a yr old and I see this price-you will be very happy with the rug--it is very plush and I am so disappointed to need to sell it

I have this rug on a hardwood floor with a nonslip pad under it. Mine does not bunch up or slip. I am not sure with it over a berber carpet. Hope that helps

What do you mean by it's crumbling underneath? This rug is crumbling Safavieh Hudson Shag Grey/Ivory Rug (8' x 10')??? I purchased this for my daughters room, we layed it down on mexican tile and it is in perfect condition, no rug pad. I just purchased the runner because I loved it so much! I hope mine doesn't crumble.

Mine is also on hardwood and is fine my aunt and cousin both have one on carpet and theirs is perfect also! I didn't know it, but my cousin read that we are supposed to turn off the rollers when we vacuumed so not sure if this applies but hope this helps!

It is very soft, I just bought the rug replacing another Safavieh rug that was in a cream and taupe scroll. Love them both but bought new living room furniture in gray and wanted to coordinate my rugs with the furniture. I love to lay on it and play with my Yorkie. You won't be disappointed. I bought 2 runners, one for down the hall and the other one I had cut in half and blinded for entry rugs. You can't go wrong.
