    I have a platform frame with slats and it doesnt. All the beds in my house are platforms with slats and none if them sink.

    You can use slats if they are probably no more that 4 inches apart. The bottom of the mattress if fairly firm, but not like a box spring. I would recommend buying a thin piece of plywood (round the corners for comfort for you when applying a bottom sheet) to place over any slats to ensure uniform stability that would last with years of body weight.     Hello daward05, this product arrives very tightly packed. Unwrap and allow 48 hours for this product to return to its original shape. Being sealed in plastic packaging sometimes traps odors. After unwrapping, allow product to air for a few hours. Thank you for shopping with us.
