"How long is the fixture itself without the rods, and can it be hung without any rods. I am looking to install it at the top of my stairwell, so there is not that much clearance for the extension rods. "

Great pendant light perfect mix of black and brown looks expensive., great price. They even sent the Eddison light bulbs with each pendant. My only problem I have the exact color of kitchen cabinets so it blended in where I really wanted them to pop. Easy to send back. If I had white or brown cabinets they would be hanging over my island now. I hated to send back.

Very nice light for a table Light fixture is good size for over a table. The color black-ish with some brown. Darker than oil-rubbed. It blends nicely between blacks, browns and espresso. I have no idea why the listing is so confusion on dimensions. Here is the skinny: -The largest circle is 19" diameter. -The box includes (4) 12" hanging rods, plus a 6" rod. They just screw together so you can use any combination for desired height. I have a 9' ceiling and only needed two of the rods. -Ceiling mounting plate has a swivel detail so your ceiling doesn't need to be flat. -Only real assembly is attaching the hanging rods. Simple light to hang. -Edison bulbs are a very warm color and do give a yellow hue. Great style!

I can't say they are adjustable, but I'm sure you could bend the arm to scoket it necessary. However, our fixture is fabulous and has no issues. It was easy to install and looks amazing. A real show stopper!! We couldn't be happier!

I have owned this fixture for almost 10 months and i have just noticed mines just a tad crooked...i am picky when i buy brand new items but i honestly did not notice it (maybe because its in the front foyer?). the light bulb itself can be moved just barely but the metal pieces are pretty solid and not really movable just by pulling on them...that said im glad it doesn't move, makes for a more sturdier piece...hope i helped...btw this is a really nice and big fixture(for my foyer anyhow)

hi Ronda I used 2 in a ladies card room in a country club, they were really for visual accent , we had the room already lit . I used Edison bulbs so not that much light was produced , depending on the size and scale of entry it could work. but probably would need supplemental light. if 3 regular 6o watt incandescent bulbs were used probably plenty of light. good luck

Hi Anita - it does not come with a chain. only extends by adding the extensions it comes with. I think it might go down to at the most 5.5 feet.

We have our light hanging from a slanted kitchen ceiling. We used a 3 foot pole and with the orb itself it dropped down another 15 inches. I believe it came with 1 or 2 more poles so I think you'll be good with a 8 foot ceiling.
