Pressboard with stickers over it.... This item is constructed of pressboard with wood-grain-colored stickers over it. I suppose the quality is right for the price range, but don't expect an extremely nice piece of furniture. It is also very low to the ground...a little too low for the average couch. I read the dimensions before I bought it and almost couldn't believe it was that low to the ground, but it definitely is, almost looking like there should be 4 legs in the box that they forgot to attach. Overall, not very impressed with this product, but it is too heavy/expensive to return.
