"There are no drawers that pull out. While the hardware for the four drawers is real, they are faux drawers. It's difficult to see the hinges in the photo and there aren't stock photos with the piece opened, and the description only vaguely suggests otherwise (cf. "Inner compartment has a shelf for additional storage"), but those four faux drawers are really one door that open sideways--away from the magazine rack side. Inside there is a single, fully-stained shelf that equally divides the internal space into two cubbyholes that will each fit an oversized throw blanket or stack a few books or other heavy items (it is very sturdy because it is not adjustable). One neat thing, though, is that the pull-out shelf is built fairly well to where one can use it without worry. The pull-out is wood-on-wood construction, which is better because it won't slide in and out too easily with a drink or snacks on it. There is a little bit of give left-and-right when extended (maybe 1/4 inch?), and about the same if you lift the shelf up, but no give downward or clunky sound at all when an item is placed upon it, and one could place a good five to ten pounds of items on it without any concern whatsoever. Nor does the shelf slide out if extended past the limit due to stoppers inside the piece... a nice feature that, sadly, is overlooked by many higher-end brands."

Arrived today already assembled. I was looking for a night stand for my husband. We don't have much room on the side of the bed so the width is perfect! Instead of magazines, the side compartment is great to keep his laptop. Good quality and plenty of storage! Very happy with this purchase.

Top Came Off
Table was well packed, but while taking it out of the box we lifted it using the top of the table and the whole top came off. We were able to glue it back together with some wood glue but it was disappointing that it wasn't better constructed than that. It looks like a cheap table, but doesn't show much where we have it. Th pull out shelf slopes down when pulled out. One star given the price.

No, it is delivered already installed on the left side from viewing at the drawers (as correctly shown in picture). There are no screw holes or any other feature to switch it to the other side without attempting a DIY project. When we purchased it, our preference would have been for it on the other side so that the rack is on the side away from the sofa, but it turned out to look better tucked inside.
