The mirror is round not oval as I expected, but for my purposes it looks fine. It is on the quite small side, but works well with the 24 inch grey bathroom vanity and the Maxim Lighting Essence fixture I purchased. It is being used for a guest bathroom, I would say for a master bath or family bathroom it would be too small.
