This is a nice piece and it looks great in my livingroom. I don't think it's real wood, but it is sturdy and well made. The only drawback is a complicated assembly process and overly simplified instructions. Some written instructions could have made the assembly easier as I missed a couple of things in the diagrams and had to backtrack to fix them.

Exceptional TV stand for the price.
This tv stand turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a stand of a certain height, color with the right amount of storage. This fits the bill perfectly. It is very sturdy for something you assemble yourself at home and feels solid when put together. The versatile shelves and amount of storage space in the side compartments provide room for all your electronics and accessories. I am able to fit a 49" television, sound bar and subwoofer easily on top. I did have room when I had a 55" as well. It is not a downside but you should prepare to set some time aside to put it together as it took us around 5 hours for assembly. It is heavy so you should also be sure to assemble it exactly where you intend to put it unless you have about 4 or 5 people to help lift it.

Took 5 weeks to arrive
My irritation is more with Great Offer Stock. I ordered the piece and tried several times to get a delivery date and the place to enter my zip code wouldn't allow for it. I figured no more than 2 weeks. The following day I received an email saying it was an oversized item and could take up to 5 weeks. I tried to cancel that day and they wouldn't allow me to. Give me a break. The actual piece is very hard to put together and only after having put it all together did we notice it has all these weird shiny marks on it. Like grease, but didn't go away. Like someone touched up scratches with a shiny coat. Not happy. And clearly not worth my time trying to remedy as Great Offer Stock ***

Terrible
This item is not worth the money. Putting it together was almost impossible. Holes didn't match up,Tam locks would not turn so the tv consul is loose. Every PIECE THAT REQUIRED A TAM LOCK IS LOOSE BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT. I HAD 3 men who are in construction could not make them work. The instructions showed items backwards so they were incorrect e.g. The drawers. We could not follow the instructions. They had to figure it out without the instructions. The item is together only because these men knew what they were doing,however, it is loose and unstable. I should have returned it but I really did not want the hassle. I will never buy from Ameriwood again.

Please see 11th image containing dimensions. All compartments are approx. 15.8 inches deep. Bottom compartment is 7.4 inches high. Middle compartment is 8.3 inches high and top compartment is 6.1 inches high.
