This Purveyor's Story: White Oak Pastures is a 5 generation family farm in Bluffton, Georgia, where we pasture-raise and hand-butcher 10 speceis of animals. Our production model has come full circle, mirroring the generations of Harris' that managed them. Today, on our 150 year old farm, we raise, slaughter, butcher our animals in a production system that immulates nature by allowing the animals to express their instinctive behaviors. We are proud to take part in regenerative agriculutre, by builidng better soils to grow better grasses to raise healthier animals. White Oak Pastures is the only farm in the United States that has both, a red meat abattoir and poultry abattoir, on the farm and under USDA Inspection. Further, our zero-waste production model allows us to untilize cattle hides for leather goods, fat for biodiesel, viscera and bones for compost and soil amendments.
