It sounds good with audible books, plenty of treble. Cons: If you turn it off it resets it. So when you turn it back on it screams at you the it is in Blue tooth mode. You have to click the mode button to get it back to the aux setting, and every click to get there it is really loud switching. There is NO separate aux input - you have to use the short cable which is also the charging cable. On another note, it is plenty loud for the audible books which is all I use it for. The lights are annoying, but if you hold the mode button down a few seconds it will turn off the lights (that is not mentioned in the instruction book). It also has a mute button that I like.
