I tried to use this adapter to connect my MacBook Pro to the internet for the sake of speed. My mac does not recognize the adapter. It doe not work at all.

No idea what to really say. The product may work, but my I had bout this to connect my USB printer to my FIOS router. The USB on the router isn't active, so I was going to plug into the ethernet port. I don't think my Brother MFC-240C printer can be networked. The price for these was so minimal, though, that it's not worth returning the product.
