This table is well constructed, assembly took about twenty minutes for two of us. There is some tedious hex fastening that would have been easier with a real tool, rather than the little one provided. Mine is at another house, so I made do with the provided "wrench"
The table has smooth edges, important when sewing nice fabrics you don't want to snag. The opening for the machine is in the front, making it more comfortable to see...some tables place this in the middle, making it a reach to the business portion of your machine: the needle, throat, bobbin, etc. The adjustments are easy (keep the little wrench handy) so if you want to put a machine on top of a flat surface, the adjustment time would be about a minute. I like that the opening is large enough to sew free-arm when it is on the lowered table, and thereafter, I put the snap on flat surface back on my machine easily within that space. The table behind the machine is deep enough to hold that machine deck part and catch fabric to avoid pulling on your garment,
I haven't found a use for the metal shelf below, but shelves are never unwanted!
Best of all, there is an extra fold up surface on the left that gives this table more space than any other in its price category. Mine holds a simple led bright gooseneck lamp to facilitate my night time sewing and hand work.
