Soft This is a great mattress protector. I wouldnt say its cooling perse but its not hot. The cooling aspect will vary person to person since everyone's body temp regulates differently. Also, your other bedding materials (sheets, blanket, comforter etc) can effect your temp. Without the sheets its cool to the touch but with my sheets I dont feel that coolness. So maybe its my sheets. I had a terry cloth material previously which was rough and hot. I like the softness of this one and the fact that it doesnt making me hotter than I already tend to be. I would most definitely recommend for the comfort and softness.

Perfect For Hot Sleepers I initially bought one for my daughter because her room is the farthest from the AC and it gets hot in there. I was amazed at how cool to the touch it is! I am a very hot sleeper so immediately bought one for myself as well. I can't believe what a difference it makes! I have had to sleep with a light blanket a few nights even, and I never sleep with a blanket! You do need to have a thinner sheet if you cover it or you won't feel the cooling effect, but this is a must have if you want a cooler nights sleep!
