Finally Mom is sleeping well I bought this mattress pad for my 87 year old mother who has severe arthritis in her back and hips, and recently developed sciatic pain as well. She couldn't sleep because of the pain and the "hot spots" caused by her too firm mattress. Even though we had previously added a wool topper (also purchased on Overstock), it wasn't enough cushioning. We added this topper and some flannel sheets for cozy factor, and she says this topper "is such a blessing" because she's now sleeping comfortably and sometimes all the way through the night, which she hasn't been able to do in years. Now that she's sleeping, she's doing so much better. Thank you Great Offer Stock for offering a great mattress pad/topper at a good price - and I know Mom thanks you too. Comfortable mattress I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this mattress online. However, after receiving the product, I am happy to say that it is a very comfortable mattress. It came flat and rolled up. I opened the box, removed the plastic covering, unrolled it, and let it expand while I was at work. 12 hours later it was a perfectly formed mattress. Are you getting your measurements from a spec sheet for your model number or are you using a tape measure? If you're using a tape measure then find your model number and check the specs. If you are using a spec sheet then get a tape measure and check it. That might help because the numbers you have might be wrong. Overstock's listed measurements are industry standards.

No, it would have to be a front loader. An agitating washing machine would most likely tear it up. Also they are thick so if it's a king it would need to be taken to a laundry mat. I can fit my queen in my large front loader but not the king.

I did not see anything that indicated having been treated with any chemicals. There were no strong odors of anything that would have lead me to believe that it had been treated with anything.

I did a little research to understand more about rayon and polyester, and found this: Rayon is recycled wood pulp that must be treated with chemicals like caustic soda, ammonia, acetone and sulfuric acid to survive regular washing and wearing. Polyester is made from synthetic polymers that are made from esters of dihydric alcohol and terpthalic acid. As far as being treated additionally, I found no evidence.

No. The fabric that it's made of is breathable so you don't get hot so it's not waterproof. It's also kind of delicate so if your not careful it will tear. However it is very comfortable.

I have two of these pads; one in the RV and one on our bed. So comfortable! They do tend to shift around, though....

It is thick enough it will likely catch any spills and absorb them so you don't damage the mattress. But if you have a pet, get a base waterproof think mattress pad and use this on top.
