Not a 2" product Just unwrapped it yesterday. Expected a 2" mattress topper with 2 layers, as advertised. Was surprised to see it was 2 separate pieces in stead of a single piece with 2 layers. Together the 2 pieces have expanded to over 3.5". Not what I expected. Hope it doesn't expand any more. Didn't want this much thickness. Don't know if I'm keeping it yet. Future buyers need to know this product is MUCH thicker than advertised.

Better than I expected! After reading the earlier reviews I was worried about the smell but it smelled fine from the moment I opened it. I did air it out for 24 hours just in case and I did wash the topper cover. First of all the gel foam is 2 inches and the separate memory foam is 1 inch. The cover is like a mattress cover not an envelope kind of thing so it fits the 2 pieces fine even though they are not exactly the same size and it is generously sized to fit any King mattress. As always it shipped very quickly and I think it was a great value compared to what I've seen. It is a very soft feel which is what I needed. Although I have an excellent new mattress, it is too firm for me. This really softened things up nicely while giving me good support. It's also cooler sleeping than the old "real" 2 inch memory foam topper I had. I couldn't be happier.

LOVE THIS TOPPER I have a good mattress, but it is not a pillow top mattress. For some reason I decided to try an extra firm mattress. When I saw this topper I thought I would try it out before buying a new mattress. I am very pleased with this topper. I used it the day that it arrived. It is very much like sleeping on a new mattress. The cover that comes with it is very well made. I was worried that my sheets wouldn't fit over the topper, but that was not the case. The quality of this topper is much better than anything that I saw in the department stores. I feel much better when I get up in the morning, no more sore spots from a too firm mattress.

I needed to lay it out flat overnight (not on the bed) to let it straighten out and to air out. I've been using mine for months now and it's been great. It does not make you hot.
