  "Does the dark brown one have any hints of red or orange throughout it at all? It seems like it might in the pictures but I cant tell and need to be SURE. I want to know what the undertones/rubbed colors throughout are other than just the dark brown which I can see"

    Color is subjective and may appear differently based on monitor settings, in my opinion the charcoal brown is a dark brown with lighter brown distressing, without any orange or red undertones.

    I think the whole thing is likely MDF - it has a veneer on it. It's really pretty though. It's also very heavy so it doesn't feel like cheap MDF. We've had it about 8 months now. It gets a lot of use and has held up nicely.

    I'm pretty sure it is all MDF with a veneer. The MDF itself is not visible. It still looks very nice. I get a lot of compliments on it. There is uniformity to the the veneer pattern, so it depends on how "rustic" you want your table to be. If you are looking for something that is totally original and rustic and has that real wood quality, then this is not it. But it comes very close.

    The legs and the bottom panel are both made with solid wood. The top panel is made with MDF and particle board covered with pine veneer.
