Inside the pot is a piece of Styrofoam and the bush is attached to the Styrofoam. The Styrofoam can be remove from the pot and the bush can be pulled out of the Styrofoam. However, once the plant is reassembled it might not have the same appearance.

If you were to touch the leaves and get really close, you will notice that it is not real. However, for being artificial, it is pretty close to the real thing. Yes, the item is made of polyester, but it described as a silk plant . That is what most artificial plants are referred to, regardless of the material. We hope this information has been helpful.
