The couch arrived sooner than expected & looked brilliant but word to the wise. When installing, the instructions state that you " slide the arms down into the base" NO! Rather you should stand one arm piece upright & then drop the base on to it, to properly lock into place. Took me 10 minutes of thinking that they installed the wrong attachments & I had to return it before I tried it this way & now it's a beautiful a sturdy piece in our living room!
I needed a sofa to hold 3 adults for family or friends, firm enough for elderly visitors to be able to get up from. My living room is not large, so the clean lines and compact size made this one attractive. I selected the charcoal color. It arrived in 3 pieces which I was able to assemble using a wall to brace against. The sofa has lasted several months with occasional use. The fabric has a few puckers at the top and arm corners, but has no signs of wear, even though my grandchildren have put it to the test. The seating is firm which is a desirable feature in my case, for example sitting on the sofa and using a laptop on a side table. The sofa may not last a decade but it is a good value and suits my needs.
This couch looks nice and is a great mid century modern style. It's not a couch I would spend a lot of time on, but comfy enough to sit and chat for a while. My only real complaint is that the back and the seat have a bit of a gap.
After months of research for my furnished rental, I chose this Niels Modern Button Tufted sofa. I selected blue haze based on the photos, and it's not even close to the color on my monitor or on my husband's monitor. It's more of a celery green, definitely not the powdered blue/grey color it is in the photos. I'm really disappointed about that, because now I can't use the area rug I bought to go with the couch. I had already purchased a fabric covered tufted ottoman, and art work, and those don't match either. As other's mentioned, the sofa is very firm. It's a nice piece, and I can stretch out on it (I'm 5'5) comfortably, but it will need pillows to make a big more comfy. I also bought the matching chair which I will review, also the same celery green, and it has a very obvious stain on the front. These were not expensive pieces, and I understand that. I'm just really disappointed in the misrepresentaion of the color. Shouldn't call this "blue haze". Can you tell, I'm still irritated? Delivery was fast and assembly was fairly easy. I'd sent it back if my significant would've showed me the color first before assembling.
I hesitate purchasing furniture online, but am extremely glad I ordered the Tawny Port Danish Modern Sofa. Have only had it a week, so I can't speak for it's durablilty, but I can confirm it is firm (which as a senior I do appreciate), color is spot on, and arrived in 3 days. I would have given it 5 stars, however, the instructions are poorly written. THANK YOU, Sergio R, for explaining the much easier and faster way to put the seat and arms together! Admittedly, we tried sliding the arms in the base, but that just did not work. Reversing the procedure by slipping the base into the arms (you may need two people to do this, as we did) was so fast and easy! Is it comfortable? Well, I have napped on it and nestle in a corner to watch TV, but if you are looking for a sink yourself into it couch this is not it. Personally, I love the style, color and it's comfortable for me.
This sofa looks just like the images show. It's a bit firm but comfortable. Assembly was really straight forward. My only wish is that the cushions would be removable/reversable.
This sofa is excellent for the price. It is firm but comfortable. I don't like the style of sofas that you sink into--and this definitely isn't that kind of piece. It's the perfect size for a small living room and it's light enough to move around easily. I assembled it by myself in about an hour. The instructions aren't the best, but if you look at the pieces it's pretty clear how they are supposed to work. Getting the back piece on by one's self just requires pushing the whole thing up against a sturdy wall, but it can be done!
Something was wrong with the way the couch was built, two parts wouldn't attach to each other which caused the back to get loose every time you sat down and leaned back. After taking it apart and putting it together with force for an hour, maybe even more, it barely attached. I'm just not leaning back to hard hoping it doesn't come apart again. Fabric is okay, if you have pets i don't recommend this couch Hair and fuzz gets attached to it easily. It's a firm couch. But I got the Twilight blue and it looks GREAT!
This is nice, modern sofa that would have received an excellent rating except for one flaw. In the center, there is a noticeable gap between the sofa and its back. It can be easily covered with a throw or a few pillows, but this is definitely something the manufacturer should consider.
I like this sofa, but 20 months later, it certainly shows wear. I have a torturous? mint? color and it is hard to clean. Also, it is not the most comfortable sofa. I had the flu twice last year (I teach!) and it was not the most comfortable thing to lay on and watch tv. I dream of making a true living wage and buying a comfortable AND good-looking sofa. In the meantime, this seems like an adequate compromise given the price. Although, I’ll be surprised if it lasts another 20 months
Absolutely love the style of this sofa. I've had it for a year and a half now and it's still fabulous! I agree with the other reviews that say it's firm but very comfortable.
This couch was great. It's been just under 2 years now and it has checked all the boxes we needed: looks great, very comfy, and affordable price. Friends have come and commented on how comfortable it is, and we even slept on it for 2 weeks straight when we got our new puppy. Would highly recommend.
Never had purchase a sofa without sitting on it first! This was a great start. Firm, comfortable and quite stylish. It works and it worked. Putting it together definitely required two sets of hands and at least one unflappabllt level head! All good though! Good purchase thank you!
Really don't have anything negative to say about the sofa. Like others mentioned, it does collect lint/animal hair, but the fabric is soft and the sofa is firm, yet comfortable. Color looks very close to what's online in the pictures. Shipment was easy and it was simple to put together.
The gray color was perfect for us and it only took about 30 minutes for the two of us to put together. I would purchase again and am hoping the matching loveseat goes on sale soon!
We bought 2 for our vacation rental and they look great. As others mentioned, seat is a tad stiff but we don't mind since these sofas will get lots of use.
Great choice if you prefer style over funcionality. Had it for a year now. It is gorgeous and I get tons of compliments, but the fabric started looking wore and old after a few months. It is also not comfortable at all.
Although this sofa looks great, it is not very comfortable for lounging. It is comfortable for sitting and visiting for short periods, but you can’t really sink into it. It is also hard to clean and easy to soil
Very pretty couch in a beautiful color (sea blue) but VERY firm. Not a couch you can sink into by any means.
It looks great. Was difficult to put together as the instructions we incorrect.
