This is the best quality stainless steel sink I have seen in over 20 years working in the UK kitchen industry. Much heavier than European sinks, it reflects the guage of the steel. Beautifully made, it does not feel or look like a commercial sink but it has the caoacity and function. It takes a large Aga roasting tin. Its very deep so double check how you mount it/height of finished worktop so you dont end up with a sore back. DHL were brilliant - it arrived in under a week to the UK. Great packaging. Thoughtful additions, eg unpacking straps to make it easier to get out of the box. racks, cloth etc. I have used US sinks/plumbing in UK kitchens before, so I dont think any decent plumber will have a problem finding the right guage of connectors - will let you know.! Thanks for great service.
We have just received delivery of our Kraus 36-inch Farmhouse Apron Double-bowl Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink and we'd like to let you know how pleased we are with the prompt and professional handling and delivery of this fantastic Sink. It's hard to find such attractive, well made sinks in Australia at a reasonable price and we were apprehensive about buying such a large, expensive item from overseas but your system has worked flawlessly and we're very happy with our purchase and can assure you that we won't hesitate to deal with your Company again.
The sink is deep, and seems to be very well made with heavy materials.
This sink is just gorgeous! I have mine mounted flush with my granite, as the edges are so lovely that I did not want to cover them. This also keeps the edges of my granite safe from chips when using my heavy cast iron pots. Having it flush is also a near perfect match with my JA stainless cooktop that is on the opposite counter. I had a bit of hesitation when ordering a divided sink since single bowls seem to be the trend at the moment, but I'm so glad I went with my gut. I really prefer to keep the garbage disposal to one side. My old sink was a 42" triple bowl with the garbage disposal in the shallow center, and this guy has so much more room! Even my largest skillet can fit perfectly in the smaller size. Friends with single bowls can't fit their sink grids in the dishwasher. Not a problem for me! The sink, grids, and drain are very easy to clean. I had a SS sink more than 20 years ago that was just awful and I had sworn to never get one again. I don't know if something has changed in those 20 years, or if I just had a poor quality sink then, but this one is so much better! If there were anything I would change, it would be to give just a bit more slope to the bottoms. I do have to chase things down the drain with my pull-down, but it's really not too bothersome. Plus, I figure the extra 15 seconds I spend rinsing is part of what keeps my sink looking so clean and shiny :)
We love this and had originally seen one like it at a kitchen store for over ***, It looks great and is very sturdy. Our contractor says it arrived slightly 'torqued' and will be flattened out now that it's under mounted with granite. Our kitchen is new and we haven't been using it for long but the sink seems durable and solid and a great value for the money.
Looks like great quality however had to return as the description says it will fit a 36 inch base cabinet. This needs a minimum 39 inch according to Kraus.
High quality stainless steel. Very deep and roomy. Washing dishes in this sink is a pleasure!
This is a beautiful apron sink! I love the stainless steel updating the apron style. I also prefer the curved front to the straight, it adds great variety to my kitchen's straight lines. The bottom of the sink is not as sloped as I would like. Food does not easily slide toward the drain like in a porcelain sink. Water spots show up as well, but I just wipe it down with a stainless steel cleaner, and that seems to help.
Great quality. Holds up well. I have used this sink for 3 years and it as no scratches and does not vibrate when disposal is on.
We purchased this stainless steel farm sink while we were doing some renovations for our kitchen. It works really well with our modern farmhouse look.
We've had this sink for a year and it shows scratches easily. It's almost as if it's not scratch resistant. I see us replacing it soon.
I love the Kraus Farmhouse sink. I wanted a deep pan, something stainless it can take a beating for my lifestyle, from craft projects to cooking, and the bib protects my cabinets. I had a problem with damaging my cabinets in my previous condo because of my style of washing pots. I generally lean them on the ledge of the sink and scrub away. The water from the scrubbing, unfortunately, would run down the counter to the cabinet doors. But with a deep Farmhouse sink, you can get that done within the four high walls of the tub. Also, the stainless still bib should surpass the cabinets, so any excess water falls straight to the floor. I wash large pots and use the stainless steel helper for soaking everything from clothes to vegetables. The quality is top-notch, and I would recommend this purchase to a friend.
This sink is beautiful! And incredibly thick; no need to worry about dents in this thing. However, you do need to be careful about scratches. I noticed my skillet scratched the inside of the bowl while I was washing it, and now I'm very careful not to set any dishes on the front ledge because a scratch there would be pretty noticeable. Also, it doesn't have a great drain slope so just know you'll have to be mindful about using your faucet to direct waste towards the drain. Overall, it's been fun to use. It's HUGE and fits a lot of dishes. I like that I only have to fill up the smaller bowl to wash dishes (as opposed to one large single bowl sink), and that my sheet pans and oversized kitchen equipment can fit in the larger bowl.
This double bowl sink is extremely functional for my kitchen. We use the smaller side for a dish drainer, keeping the counter free from clean dishes. The sink is large and deep, so some people may experience back aches from standing at it too long. Make sure to pair it with a gooseneck faucet that reaches into the middle of the sink. Also, if you are concerned about scratches, you may want to consider something else since belt buckles could scratch the apron and carelessness in putting large pots or skillets can scratch the edges. The stainless is in no way inferior--but scratches are inevitable. We try to be careful, but we know that over time it's just inevitable and we see this feature as the beauty of stainless. The packaging was extremely sturdy, thus assuring its safe arrival.
The shipment came in one week and was packaged very well and easy to remove from container. High quality stainless steel with all the plumbing parts included. I recommend this sink and the company Kraus.
I purchased this sink in my new construction house. It looks beautiful and the installer said that it was a solid, quality product. I'm so glad I found this item because just adding it to my construction contract was almost 4x the cost! The sink is deep, the finish is nice - incredibly happy with my purchase!
I love the sink. We are building a house now and it will be a great addition to an already beautiful kitchen. I cannot wait to use it! For those interested in the shipping of the product: It came within a week of ordering it. I was pleasantly surprised how well it was packaged. There was no way the sink could be damaged in the shipping process. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a stainless steel apron front sink.
This Kraus 36" Farmouse Double Bowl is very well made. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks to be not all that difficult. This sink will hold up many more years (forever) than it's style will. I'm sure there will be a day when we get a gag response for the stainless appliances we are all installing now-days! Such is life!
This is a wonderful sink! The size and depth of the basins are exactly as described. We mounted it under our counter-tops, and it was easy to install.
This sink is so beautiful!!! Im so happy with this purchase. Exactly what i was looking for. I love that it has two sink basins instead if just one like the traditional farmhouse/ apron sinks... since it it stanless steel it is a little more difficult to keep clean.
