It is designed to hold 25 bottles, but due to space between each shelf, it can hold up to 13 bottles stacked on each of the four bottom shelves. Top rack easily holds about 10 or 11 bottles. Rack was extremely easy to assemble. Just pull it out of the box, unfold the sides and place the shelves on top of each layer. Shelves and sides are even numbered to show where each shelf should go. Pegs on bottom of shelf slip into side of shelf for security and easy assembly. Rack seems sturdy and solid and able to withstand the load of more than 25 bottles in my opinion.
