Safavieh Mid-Century Dining Karna Orange Bonded Leather Dining Chairs (Set of 2)

I loved the look and color of these chairs on the website. There were no reviews for the orange chairs so I read the reviews for the gray Karna chairs which were very good. Everyone raved about how great they looked and only a few mentioned any difficulty putting them together (one person ordered 3 sets & had to return 1) so I ordered 2 sets of the orange chairs. I found them to be stylish & beautiful but could not put any of the 4 together because the holes (8 per chair) to attach the seats to the backs did not line up and the bolts that hold the chair together (4 per chair) could not be screwed in. I was very disappointed but had to return them. I did, however, order 2 more sets in the hope that those I had already received were a fluke. They were not. I received 2 more sets today. 1 chair went together easily. Another had 4 holes that lined up easily & another 4 that we were able to make fit by enlarging the top holes so the bolts could be threaded into the bottom holes. To get these 2 chairs we had to mix and match 4 seats & 4 backs. The other set is getting send back as well & I'm giving up. I am happy with the 2 chairs I'm keeping though - they're stylish, comfortable & a true orange color that looks great at my table.

Despite the previous negative reviews for these, I ordered them to stage a home I was putting on the market for sale (I'm a Realtor). After the home sold, I decided to put them in my own home because of how beautiful and stylish they were. They are very modern and I LOVE the color! Yes, they may bit a bit difficult to assemble, but with an extra set of hands, you should be able to pull it off. Chairs feel sturdy and are quite comfortable.

These chairs look great for the $$ - ONCE you get them together. As the other review said - the holes line up terribly. Fortunately I was able to pound over one of the bars to make it fit, then sit on it to push it down to get the screw in. But whoever manufactured these did a horrific job of making sure the holes line up. Really crummy. And obviously the orange color seems to be the problem model. BUT - if you want to risk it, and can get it together (check to push the bonded leather and cushion back before assembling the 2 pieces - that helped too) - you'll be happy for the money. They do look great! Just not easy to put together. And I'm generally pretty handy.
