This nightstand does not have a drawer stop, but it does have a ball bearing glide, so it won't be pulled out all the way under normal use.

You don't "have" to buy a warrangy and I don't think it is necessary. I bought a nightstand and it arrived very well packaged. If it had arrived broken, I would have sent it back. Six months later, it is still perfect.
