Just what I was looking for
This TV stand arrived via UPS, and the box was in BAD shape; obviously mishandled in transit. It had an orange label on EVERY side that indicated it was to be lifted be TWO people, but there was only one delivery driver, who didn't even use a dolly, and then tried to get away before I saw he was here. I asked him what to do if the mdse was damaged. He just yelled out to go to UPS.com to file a complaint, and drove of. I was afraid to upon the box, but my husband did so for me (he has better luck) and thank goodness, the pieces were all fine. Styrofoam was crushed and broken, but not the furniture pieces. Now that it is assembled and set up, I love it! It is just as pictured and blends in perfectly with the mis-matched pieces I already have. I would recommend this product, but be sure to inspect it and be ready to file a complaint i it comes damaged! UPS has been VERY rough on items I've received lately, so I was "on guard!"

Nice stand
This TV stand is nice looking and easy to assemble. It has an even, smooth and nicely grained veneer which is very attractive. I don't give it a 5 star rating only because the top shelf is too short for my cable box and I had to change the way my components have been positioned. OCD aside, it's a winner.

I gave this to my daughter so don’t know exact dimensions but it would definitely hold vinyl records in both bottom spaces. It is 48 inches wide and the bottom shelves on the outer sides are at most 6 inches each. That gives you plenty of room for Records in center shelves. It’s a really nice piece of furniture.

As to what species of wood this was made from I cannot tell you that nor was it published anywhere on the site...however the feel and weight of the boards is SOLID and not 'particle' board or cheap plywood...and (Encouragingly) the description says "eco friendly". It has substance and weight and was manufactured very very well...alignments that are sometimes "off" were on target with this console. We put it together (spouse and I) in under an hour, NOT complicated, well done and suits its purpose beautifully! No regrets ....holds VCR, DVR, and various electronic movie watching gadgets perfectly. Glad we puchased this one for our new apartment...size /height/cubbies all well thought out.!

The shelf unit is clearly made of particle board with a very thin veneer which I believe is printed paper (hence the eco-friendly label). However, it is nicely put together. Advantage of particle board and mdd - they don't bow or warp, which is good if you are going to put a heavy tv on it.
