Love the base. Ambivalent about the shade, which isn't so much lovely as bordering on gaudy. (I suspected when ordering that might be the case.) Less startling with only one bulb turned on. But it melds with my colors and overall look. In terms of quality, I'm spoiled by the quality of another Tiffany-style lamp I've had for years. As in so many things, they just don't make 'em like they used to. Without the comparison, I might think this one was more than "okay." I've ordered several lamps since a recent move, and still cannot understand why one just gets a box of parts. It can't be entirely for ease of shipment. And at this price point we're certainly paying enough that assembly shouldn't be required. But hey. By the time you get it all unpacked and put together, who would try to package it up to return unless they really hated it?! I still need to polish it up and then it will be spiffy.

Drangonfly Tiffany-style Lamp
What a great purchase! The colors are vibrant, nice size lamp, very heavy, seems to be well constructed. I bought 2 lamps for end tables on either side of my living room couch. They really go well with my shaker style furniture. The lamps each take two 60 watt bulbs but I found that to be a little too bright for my liking. I used two 40 watt bulbs for softer lighting and the colors of the lamp shade still look great. Everyone who has come to my house has remarked on the lamps and how great they look. I've seen the exact same lamps for twice as much $$$ on other sites. Buy yours before they're gone ... excellent buy. Also, someone else recommended unpacking the lamps outside the house due to the packing material .... good call, the styrofoam is very brittle and you'll have that stuff all over the place when you unpack.

Mismatch
Although the description of the lamp is accurate, I didn't realize at the time, how different the base is from the shade. They simply look like they came from two completely different lamps, one green and one more purple. The base is actually gorgeous, but it needs a shade with at least some green in it. I am not a picky person and have never left a poor review, but this just looks so odd and I didn't want anyone else to have regrets in making this purchase. Great Offer Stock is a great company and I have always been happy with what I receive, but this purchase was a mistake...

Great quality, unusual colors
A very high-quality lamp, but I agree with the reviewer who commented that the actual shade colors are much more vivid than pictured. The dragonfly bodies are a very bright red (stunning when lit!) and the amber-beige colors near the top are actually very intense orange. The main shade colors (purple, red, orange) work very well together, but don't relate all that well to the base, which is deep green. My solution was to put this shade on a different metal base, and will look for a differently colored 16" dragonfly-style lampshade to put back onto the green mosaic base.

Doesn't look like the photo...
If this light actually looked like the photo...well, then you'd have a pretty cool lamp at a reasonable price. Sadly. the dragonflies were bright red, and not at all the vibe I was hoping for.

when I opened the package and took the shade out it was perfect, but when I took out the base I was totally disappointed. The colers should have matched the shade and then it would have been perfect. No life to the colors on the base,very dull

When lit, colors in the shade are intensified to orange with red accents for the dragonflies, against a shades of blue background. The lamp isn't lit the colors are much more muted. The base is a background of jade green with antique copper finish dragonflies. I have it in a green room and it is stunningly beautiful in my opinion.

Hello dealmaniac, This is all glass. The thin sheets of glass are infused with stain and then cut an soldered to copper wires. Plastic would not withstand the soldering process. The shades Crack and break because they are glass. Plastic would not reflect light as the shades do. They are all handmade. Have a great day!

It is not glass. I have a REAL glass Tiffany lamp and it is glaringly obvious that this is plastic. The large shade is far, far too lightweight to be glass, and the panels are full of trapped air bubbles that betray the shade for the plastic it is. The "copper foil" is not copper foil. Has anyone at Great Offer Stock actually examined this product? Your product description is not accurate.

I am a stained glass artist and have made many lamps. I saw this lamp and purchased it. It is glass. There isn't any plastic whatsoever! You wouldn't be able to solder if it was plastic. It's a heavy base that supports the shade and looks very nice whether lighted or not. I would recommend this lamp to anyone. I could never make it for the price of this one. The base alone would cost more.

One other thing. Stained glass doesn't fade. The color is in the batch when the glass is made. It's not painted on. I've never had a glass shade fade - ever!
