So the first one had a bad gasket and had to be replaced by Kitchen Aid. They were unhelpful and refused to replace the gas I lost from the defective machine.
Soda Stream said they couldn't replace it because it was a Kitchen Aid product and was Kitchen Aid's responsibility.
The machine uses A LOT more CO2 gas than the "60L" cylinder advertises if you like to fizz your water to maximum bubbles. I love bubbles and this machine does ok.
I was hoping for something of better quality and better customer service from Kitchen Aid.
It does look fabulous and the housing seems sturdy but I cannot be sure about the innards of this machine being that the first one was defective and the second one seems to waste a lot of gas due to a release valve that prevents the bottle from exploding. The gas starts to let off a little when the pressure is high enough on the dial for the 4th level of fizz.
It's still cheaper than buying perrier or other sparkling water. I don't use it to make soda, just fizzy water.
