I have given this Linon Flokati Heavy Lime Green Rug Runner 5 stars! The listing states 2' x 8'; however, the label attached to the rug says 2'10" x 8' -- that's a bit of a bonus on the width over what it states in the listing on Overstock! For some reason, this rug runner feels thicker in the shag over the two larger area rugs. I am happiest with this runner of the three rugs I bought from Great Offer Stock. I am also happy that I bought three of the same style of rugs so that I can be flexible with how and where I use them.
I must have looked at a few thousand rugs, not only on Great Offer Stock, but on ****, ****** and a host of home decor stores. After careful consideration, I opted to purchase one of these along with two of the complementary 4' x 6' Linon Flokati Heavy Lime Green Rugs. Note: those complementary rugs actually measure 3'6" x 5'6"; so, they are a bit smaller than 4' x 6'.
YES, yes, yes! This rug does shed, but that is to be expected. In the package, you receive a "cute" bit of instructions which tell you to "shake it like it's your job!" And, to use a hairbrush on it. I opted to shake it like it's my part-time job and then used my fingers to fluff it up and comb it. Don't really have the right hairbrush to use on it. "It's like grooming Fido. It will still have fluff for years to come." Whoever wrote those care instructions has a good sense of humor. It rather sounds like something I might have written!! And, to buy this rug, you also should have a sense of humor. If you are an older person, such as myself, you will appreciate the retro style. It will take you back to the 1960s and 1970s!
The lime green color is perfect to complement my ******* ******** Coastal Living Cottage Collection bedroom furniture -- I have the ************ King-Size Bed in Sea Grass along with a teal bench, white dresser and yellow chest. The color isn't intense like you might expect with a lime green. It is a rather muted color that blends well with other colors.
I don't use a rug mat or pad underneath these rugs since I have wall-to-wall tan brown carpeting. I moved into an older apartment and the carpeting here is worn in spots. So, this runner rug covers up some of the worn spots -- I have it placed in between my king size bed and dresser. It is an awesome pop of color to complement the painted furniture.
P.S. I really thought my cat would love the rugs too. When I first put the rugs on the floor, my cat tested out the rug. She sniffed at the shag and playfully pulled at some of the fibers. But, after that, she walks around all the rugs.
