I purchased this night stand and its matching 4 drawer dresser. The pieces are perfect for my bedroom. The nightstand was simple to put together and easy to follow instruction. The nightstand is very solid with nice glide drawers. Great set!
Great quality so 4 stars but Not for the assembly challenged. Requires quite a bit of time to assemble plus one of the drawer slide holes were off by 1/4 inch. Once assembled the drawer would not close. This required removing and re-positioning the slide after assembly which makes it more difficult to correct.
If I had a spirit animal, it would be the Vilas 4-Drawer Dresser.
I read all the other reviews that said how challenging this was to assemble, and I thought to myself, "You guys are just wusses. If you're just a little bit handy, putting together furniture is a snap." I'm probably the only person in the world who actually likes to assemble furniture. To me, it's like a big, 3D jigsaw puzzle, and I'm quite handy. Even for a handy guy, this thing took over 4 hours to assemble! It took me 20 minutes just to pull all of the pieces out of the box and lay them down on the floor in order so that I could find what I needed! It says that you can assemble with 2 people in 1 hour. I don't think that's possible because there's just too many pieces. I assembled it myself just fine--it wasn't difficult, it just took FOREVER to screw in hundreds of screws, glue dozens of pegs, etc. My apologies to all of my fellow review writers--you weren't exaggerating! Any furniture in this price range is going to be MDF (pressboard) with a really thin veneer (likely fake wood), and this is no exception. All the other reviews about the small size of the drawers are also accurate--this isn't going to be your primary dresser to fit all of your clothes. So why am I still giving 4 stars? Now that I've stopped sweating after all that assembly, I really like the look of it, and it's the perfect little piece for the guest room. Guests don't tend to need tons of drawer space, but this is the perfect touch to my modern bedroom.
