This is a cheap alternative to A*Men by Thierry Mugler. Some have called it the grandfather to that scent and I agree. It's similar due to the chocolate note but is different because this scent lacks the tar note of A*Men. That makes this a more tolerable scent and quite nice. I'm still new to fragrances but I saw a youtube review on this so I decided to blind buy Animale Animale. I don't think you'll hate this if you like A*Men but I wouldn't recommend this for a blind buy if your new to fragrances. Chocolate fragrances remind me of beer. I hated beer until I drank it a few times and developed a taste for it. I think it works for most people that way. This has been described as a romantic scent and works very well as a winter scent; but I think most people aren't used to smelling like chocolate. The vanilla is in there as well and comes out in the dry down. I hated A*Men every single time I gave it a smell but it started to grow on me. They dry down is nice on both scents. For the money, if your looking for something romantic that can get at least a few wears a year, try this out. I'm 23 and I think i'll wear this on a holiday or a winter night when im laying around with my girlfriend. This is easier to wear than A*Men but still limited. It's so much more tolerable and maybe sweeter too. A*men is longevity and projection monster. Don't expect that with this. I would say its average in that department. But I only go 2-3 sprays. More could help.
