I never write a review the day after I receive a product but so far I am lovin' these boots. I have to tell you I'm a bit of a leather boot snob. I like the color of leather, the feel of leather, the smell of leather boots. Well, these boots have 2 out of 3 and look amazing. Not exactly needing new boots but wanting a new pair for the fall and winter season, I bought these boots for the look and the fantastically affordable price. Because of the large size of my feet (unfortunately size 11, growing 2 sizes in the last 30 years), I have only so-so luck buying boots on line, which is another reason for usually buying leather. Leather if slightly tight can be stretched to be a bit more comfortable. Anyway, these boots were delivered yesterday and were waiting for me on my step when I came home from visiting family so I took them inside and opened them. If I didn't know from the time I ordered them (it's right there in the heading) that they were synthetic leather, I could almost swear they were real leather (except for the lack of smell). There is enough room in them for a winter sock and the hardware and straps jazz them up. I even wore them out to lunch today even though it is a bit early for me for me for boots and received compliments, first from my friend I was meeting and another from a total stranger. This didn't freak me out, because I notice boots and I have also been known to compliment a complete stranger on boots I liked. I almost never give something 5 stars, the highest rating, because I often find a few flaws even in something I like a lot, but I will make an exception for this because of the great value. I did put a little bit of wax on the zippers even thought they were not exactly sticking, but the wax made the zipper go even smoother. I also stuffed them with plastic grocery bags to help hold it upright, but that is a holdover from mostly using leather, holding them upright helps them dry faster, etc. Did I mention the buckle in the back can tighten a bit or loosen to allow a bit more room in the calf which I don't need but is good to know? So style, price, good feel - what's not to love? Love, love these boots.

As soon as I opened the box the immediate smell of this fine handmade leather boot and good looks assured I made a great purchase. The stitching, design, fit and overall quality of this boot is unlike any pair of shoes or boots in my closet. You will not be disappointed. The design is such that it is a "go to" for years ahead.
These boots are very well made and look to be real leather. My daughter was adamant about the all leather part. She has been wearing them every day. We've had some snow and the soles keep a good grip even in icy conditions. Would recommend for any one looking for good leather knee high boots.
