In my other review about the coverlet, I noted that it was not a matelasse as described in the product description. It did not have a feel of being "padded" as it was only 1 layer of material that had been sewn. These shams however, are much heavier and feel like 2 layers and are what I expected the entire set to be like.

I had been lusting after the bedding ensembles at Horchow for months, but sadly I cannot afford to spend 2,000 on a bedding set! This bed skirt was exactly what I was looking for: rich fabric, gorgeous color, and excellent quality. Also, the fabric in the middle that goes under the mattress is the same color as the bed skirt, so I do not have that horrid white sticking out!
Wish the ivory was more ivory, too white. But, they work fine.
