I bought the king size for my queen mattress and it fits wonderfully. After putting it on the bed, it got very fluffy after a few days--I don't think I could ever put it back into the package in which it was originally packed. It seems to be well built and so far I am enjoying it very much. I grew up with a bunch of quilts on my bed that my great grandmother had made. While they were nice, I never liked the weight needed to keep warm in a Texas winter. This comforter is being used in the Central Valley of Northern California where winters are not as cold as Texas or back east. We are usually in the upper 20's(rare) to the 30's and 40's at night--much more common in winter here. This "600 fill" is perfect for me and I prefer a cool/cold room at night. These comforters are from a quite reputable dealer and I think they are a great buy--especially on sale. I have had less expensive down comforters before but these are much better. All in all I am quite satisfied. For cleaning, they should be dry cleaned--per the instructions.
Ordered another just like the first one for our 2nd California King bed. Was oversized enough to be perfect on it. The first I have ever seen that fits! Love it!m BTW - frequent washes are not the proper care for down comforters. That is what Duvets are for.
I first purchased this down comforter a little over 4 years ago. Since then I purchased 2 more: one for my 10 year old son and one for my brother as a wedding gift. Pros: Cannot beat this low price! Definitely Extra Warm (perfect for me in the mountains of Idaho and for my brother in Russia). Machine Washable (do not believe that "Dry Clean Only" tag. I wash my comforter once a year on delicate cycle with delicate soap. It will loose some down but will come out still like brand new.) Cons: My king size comforter hardly fits in a washer and does not fit in a dryer. Therefore I wash it in summer only, so I could dry it immediately outside on a blazing sun, which is actually a better way to dry down.( I lay it flat on my son's trampoline.) This comforter has some baffles empty and down is spread unevenly in other baffles. Also, it will shed for about a year creating an "always dusty" look in the bedroom. Still cannot find a comforter cover for King size with those specific dimensions. Overall, even with some baffles empty, even after shedding for a year and being washed for 4 years - this comforter remains Extra Warm, Extra Cozy, Extra Soft. My absolute favorite for the price. Highly recommend!
Ordered this to replace my very old down comforter. I am very pleased. Fits very well on my California king bed. I also like the medium weight which is way warm enough.
