I received this and found it to be very nice. What do people expect for 25.00. Seriously! I found it charming! Delicate perhaps, all of my items were in tact. But when thinking of using it I feel transported to another time. Can buy other inks later on.

It started with the lovely box, Upon opening, you find the pens, inks and small containers. It is going to make the perfect gift for a friend who is anxious to learn the art.

I bought this for my boyfriend even though the reviews were iffy. The price is okay and I can see how the stuff would break because it is very fragile. Nothing I recieved was broken however the quality is not 100%. If you know anything about any of the tools that come with it I would recommend it. Not for beginners or kids for sure.

I'll touch upon the two outstanding features of this item 1. It's poor quality. There is a small porcelain? basin that broke upon touch. Literally. This set is made from very cheap, breakable materials. 2. If you are not familiar with Chinese caligraphy, avoid this set. There are no instructions. I was very disappointed in this set, and embarassed that I gave it as a gift. It's a pity, because I have purchased great items from Worldstock before, but now I will be hesitant.

It's really authentic looking and fun to use. Takes you back to a time when penmanship was raw art. As I was opening the package I was hoping for some instructions that were not there.
