Rustic texture and colors ...
This bench actually turned out better than I had expected.
Why? Well, I did not expect the added distressed colors to
the wood from the stripped away paints. Those bits of color
set this bench apart from all others. Each is one an original,
much like a pair of stone-washed or tattered blue jeans are.
Mine came with bits of teal and mahogany paint stripped off.
I accented it mounting some strips of sheet metal to the wall.
The resulting look is rustic, yet equally contemporary as well.
The bench itself is comfortable and very sturdy. It's a keeper.
