This is a lovely piece but gosh, is it heavy! Its solid wood and I will need to install a wall cleat to allow it to hang in a sturdy enough fashion but it does look nice.

i want to say that the carving and wood quality is lovely. you may have noticed in the item description that the nose is fastened to the face and not part of greater panel. normally that should be fine but the stain that they used on the nose does not match the face in any way. the face is a warm red brown and the nose is a grey black. i just keep thinking about how someone must have had a good laugh when they did this because you could never hang this as is. As mentioned, i love the carving and the wood is nice. I am now setting out to find someone that i can hire to strip it and re-stain the whole thing one color... nose included this time!
