It is bright, vibrant and the painting style is classic, def. the style I wanted, does not look cheap at all. Sturdy, at first I thought I had it upside down because the green felt ined drawer is on the bottom and double door on top. It is sturdy, not flimsy or light. There is a piece of glass that comes to cover the top, the top is edged in and the glass sits on the edges and you will need something to make sure it does not slide off, little wax grippers on all 4 corners. It is nice that I can use it as a real side table. It is a real piece of furniture that I will have forever. Yea! The color are black flat enamel base, the gold is bright- there is are little green highlights on the trees and a man on top rowing, red and white on the cherry blossoms and pagoda roofs. Just enough color to give interest but not too much. Buy it now- thank me later
