Great rowing machine for home use. Light weight makes is easy to move. Smooth mechanism with variable resistance through magnetic settings.
I purchased the Stamina 1130 rower after reading a number of professional reviews. The item was received, packaged well, within 4 days of my order. The box wasn't really heavy so I could get it to my basement easily. (I am a 65 year old female.) I uncrated all the parts and did a quick inventory. The assembly instructions were straightforward. They included the tools needed for assembly. I was able to assemble the rower within an hours time. The rower is sturdy and worked well. My only criticism would be that they chintzed on the quality of the foot straps (velcro strips) which I restrung to the bottom slots for ease and comfort. I've done 5 workouts thus far, one manual and 4 presets: Fat burning, Intervals and today I did the Target Heart Rate workout, using the heart rate monitor that comes with the machine. In each workout you could definitely feel the difference in resistance as the programs adjusted it during each interval. The programs really work you! I like having the heart rate monitor since, once you enter your maximal target value, the pulse value will blink if you're exceeding it, so you can slow your tempo a bit. I'm learning more and more about the machine with each workout. I find sometimes after reading a negative review, that the customer was simply unaware of how the machine works. Reading the manual helps. My only criticism of the manual is that they could have explained the Pulse entry better. They explain target heart rate, etc very well, so you'd think you'd enter your target range, but there is only one number to enter. I first entered the "220- age" value, but once I saw how the display was working, I realized I needed to enter the maximum range value. The more I use the rower, the more I like it.The rowing action is smooth so you can easily get into a rhythm. I normally work out on a treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike and bowflex, so I'm reasonably fit. I was using the bowflex for rowing prior to this, but the seat wheels wear out after a while and you can't alter the resistance without stopping. The Stamina 1130 is much better and I now find myself gravitating to this machine as my preferred equipment. I highly recommend this product.
I first purchased the 35-1399 Stamina and found it to be too noisy for others while watching TV. I also didn't really like the fact that to have a harder workout, you have to increase your speed which then creates more energy to row. The 35-1130 Stamina is extremely quiet no matter how fast or hard to row. Watching TV while using this rower is not a problem at all. I love the fact that it controls the resistance of rowing by using magnets which means that you don't have to pull faster to achieve that. It also has programs that helps you obtain your desired workout for your personal benefit. It also includes a wireless heart rate monitor that sends the information to the console to keep you alert of your rate for a safer workout routine as well as hitting your target rate you are aiming for. Assembly wasn't hard at all and was fairly easy. The seat is very comfortable and padded and actually moves easier along the rail did the 35-1399. This is a great way to get in shape, loose weight and get a great cardio workout without having to go to the gym or using a treadmill which I do not like at all. I love this machine!
I bought this right before the pandemic. I was easy to assemble. I love the different resistant work outs. For a while the resistance wasn't working on two of the options . Every once in a while I would fly into my wall lol. For some reason it doesn't do it anymore. The only thing I would not trust is the calorie counter. It states that I burned over 1,000 calories during my work out, where as my apple watch states under 300 . I'm not sure which one to trust, but If I was burning 1,000 each time, I'm pretty sure I'd be skinnier. I watch you tube to understand the best way to use a rower which has been very beneficial . I noticed my body changing after using it 5 times. My legs are the most noticeable, and my abs. I use it in the mornings since it is low impact but with great results. I tell everyone to buy this rower. It's sleek, it folds, and it gets the job done. I don't use the heart rate monitor. I digs in my ribs and slides down to much. I am 5'3 163lbs and my big stomach prevents me from using this comfortably. I spend more time adjusting it during my work out then getting benefits from using it.
Excellent rower for the price. Great workout with several adjustment levels. Took about an hour to assemble but I took my time with a few breaks, after all I'm a small female. Pretty easy to understand how to assemble. The only problem I had was the last step - adding cup holder. Had to get a man to hold the area apart and pop it in. You do need a little strength for this. Seems sturdy enough. The only issue was a small crack at the side -plastic- but it doesn't show or affect the rowing. Recommend. Waiting for my mat to arrive to move to den. Pretty heavy to move.
This rowing exercise machine is not only good for your arms & back but strengthens your core. The machine is quiet, easy to use, easy to increase or decrease tension & has several programs for great workouts. Plus it folds out of the way to lean against a wall & takes up very little space.
It is a very good rower. Its quiet and compact. I've tried all 9 programs and very happy with them, especially the one that syncs the heart rate monitor with my target heart rate. Distance tracker doesn't seem to be very accurate, since it takes more than 1,000 strokes to do 1,000 meters ...
I bought my rower 2 weeks ago, and had issues with my screen monitor, i called customer service and Connie was great, i should be getting my replacement in a couple of weeks!
1st time owner , but love this item
Had it for a month it's doing it's job and my wife and I are getting the moneys worth. However you change levels it makes a funny noise if you adjust to fast.
I bought 2 months ago and use it 2-3 times a week. I have a shoulder injury and I am trying to strengthen it back to normal in addition to Physical therapy 3x a week. My only complaint would be that the seat is a bit too hard. A little more cushion would be great. Otherwise all has been great with my new rower. Thank you!!
Easy to put together. Initially I thought the heart monitor was not functioning properly. However, if small amount of water is applied to electrode pads, it is accurate. Very smooth. Machine. I really like it.
Due to the thorough information on the product, I was assured that what I had chosen was perfect for me
Great machine! Not expensive. Good quality. The rowing machine is very quiet and compact, which is awesome in an appartment on a 2nd floor. The only things i'd improve would be : have a battery console so you don't need a power cord wich gets in the way when you store the machine uprigth. And make the footrest stay in place...
Good product. Definitely recommend. We did have trouble with the first rowing machine. The manufacturer was very, very nice and sent us a new machine They are wonderful the Customer Support.
Generally, I really feel that this machine is really "bang for the buck", as it is on the cheaper end on the spectrum of rowing machines currently on the market. It does have decent design overall and pretty good performance. It is definitely a strong starting rowing machine for the new rowing enthusiast!
This machine was very easy to put together. An hour tops. It works great and the readout is easy to understand. My only complaints would be that the display monitor does not lock in, so when you press a button, the display monitor folds back down. And, if you are on the upwards side of 250 lbs (the weight limit is 300lbs) the seat squeals some moving backwards. Perhaps change the weight limit as lower.
The quality is surprisingly good. It took me about an hour to put together by myself and rows smoothly. Easy to adjust the tension, the programming screen is pretty intuitive, and it stores out of the wway.
This isn’t your standard rowing machine! It does not have any leg resistance so you only work your arms...I was wanting one that had leg resistance as well since that’s a bigger muscle..you burn more calories on a walk than with this!
We were looking for a rowing machine that was reasonably easy to assemble, easy to use, and would give us a good work out. So far, we believe we found all that in this 35-1130A model. Assembly took less than an hour and was straight-forward. There were no missing or damaged parts. The instruction manual was easy to read and had good diagrams. We have been using the rower for a month now and it is doing everything as advertised, including the different levels of resistance. My only minor complaint at this time is a slight squeak as the seat rolls along the beam, but it changes with the way I sit, so it may be caused by me rather than a defect with the machine. So far, we are very pleased with this product and hope it continues to do well over time.
