My dogs both want to sleep on this pet bed. Actually, they share it with Boomer the cat. It is soft and squishy for them. The other one is filed with that not so soft, chunky gray stuff. Not so much do they lay on that one. But the Furhaven is a winner! It is a full 4" thick, has a soft fuzzy side and a water resistant bottom. It is very easy to unzip the cover to wash...and washes up very nicely. Have washed it at least a dozen times and still looks and preforms great.
This bed did a great job of being water resistant when my older german shepherd peed on her bed in her sleep. It never soaked through. I only wish is that the foam was a thicker, more durable product to provide more support.
This seems to be a fine dog bed, the cover is fantastic! It claims to be water-resistant; guess they have to call it so if you couldn't immerse it, but rain is not going to bother this bed. It is a bit on the thin side for a bed, but it's fine for an outside luxury. We got it for the large dog, but so far she won't climb on it, the small dog thinks it's hers. We love it!
