  • Very nice!!
    Verified Purchase

We have a mini Holland lop and he loves this - plenty of space to roam around. We have it in the house - easy to clean. Only thing that would be better is the closures on the gates - would be nice if it wasn't just ONE lever that slides from the left to the right to open either side, and in the middle to keep both sides closed. But it's nice having 4 different doors/gates that open - making it easily to access.

Size is great, wood doesn't seem like it would hold up very good outside. Our bunny loves it!

  • Perfect cage for my dwarf lion head rabbit
    Verified Purchase

This case is inside my house and my bunny is in heaven. It was easy to assemble and my bunny quickly figured out she has two levels to play in. She eats on the lower level and sleeps on the top level. I like that she has the option to go into the area that is sectioned off for privacy. Excellent purchase!

  • Does the job
    Verified Purchase

It's good for the cost. Just like most of the other ads, UPS is pretty rough on the boxes. Also doors should each have their own lock, not a duel lock for both doors. Like most people's reviews, you have to change these out.

  • Bunnies love it
    Verified Purchase

I inherited two bunnies from my nieces who no longer had time for them, so this is new to me. The bunnies used to live in a one floor hutch. They seem to love having two stories. For the first time in their lives, they have their own space. I also like to let them out so they can play in a big pen and it is easy to get them in and out. I would highly recommend it.

  • two story hutch
    Verified Purchase

The packaged arrived taped together like it had fallen apart with a large gouge on the side. It weighs 66 # and looked like someone threw it down a flight of stairs. Several pieces were chipped and a screw bent. It was easy to put together. The rabbits seem to like it but they chewed the inside by the wire down to the screws the first night making it unlikely that this expensive hutch will last a long time. They also chewed on the outside. My advice would be to shop around for the best deal on this hutch.

  • Soft wood - rabbits could chew their way out.
    Verified Purchase

Serves the purpose. Easy to put together. I never used the pull out feature to clean, I used a scoop. The wood is soft and our rabbits chewed it. It was plenty big for both of our rabbits.

  • Trixie 2 story for Holland lop.
    Verified Purchase

We love this cage for our Holland lop. I was concerned about her using the ramp..but she loves it. She runs up and down it no problem. I love the pull out plastic drawers for easy clean up/ She has a litter box and uses that rather than the floor so all I have to do is vacuum hair and the occasional pellet when the box is missed. I prefer this over the metal grate which I know can be hard on their feet. We have this in our little girls bedroom and it works perfect. I didn't do much in helping put it together..but it seemed to go together fairly easily..

  • It's worth it
    Verified Purchase

I purchased this hutch after doing DAYSSSS of research on different hutches AND their reviews ... I'm kinda OCD like that. LOL! I ended up finding this one for $*** but I found a 10% off coupon so I got it for $*** with free shipping, not bad when you consider some of the prices out there. Upon receiving the hutch ( it arrived after about 3 days) I noticed that the top drawer had a split in the wood up the side. It was still useable but that's not the point. I contacted customer service and they got in touch with the manufacturer. A replacement drawer was ordered immediately and I received it within about a week. No big deal ... actually, kind of hassle free. They knew exactly which part, required no pictures and didn't require me to send back the broken drawer .... NICE. Now the hutch .... I use mine for a dwarf rabbit (Cadbury) upstairs and a checkered giant (Oreo) downstairs ..... they don't like each other. In order to use this hutch as two separate living quarters you have to install the ramp in order to support the hatch or it seems like the weight of a rabbit could make it fall in. If you have a bigger bunny, your going to want to reenforce that hatch with something. This hutch is very nice, it looks more like a piece of furniture, it is sturdy. Your rabbits are going to chew on it a little bit if they are bored or if they want out. They are rabbits, it's what they do, they chew. If you plan to keep them in the cage all the time, save yourself some money, don't buy the cage and sell the rabbits, they deserve better owners anyway. I let mine out for play time during the day and cover the hutch at bedtime. The only part they have nibbled on so far is the door, cause they want out. LOL! There is plenty of room inside for a food and water dish. The "bedroom" area has enough room to fit a small pet bed in it or a litter box. One of mine uses the "room" as a bedroom and the other as a bathroom. Keeping this hutch cleaned out is NOT a problem. I found that instead of trying to take out the drawers, I use an old dust pan to scoop it out. As far as the other comments I have read about them using the bathroom and it leaking down the side of the cage ..... hasn't happened once. I use an extra layer of bedding around the edges of the cage (pine bedding) for just in case. All in all, this is a really good hutch and I don't regret buying it for a minute.

  • Very cute but poor design
    Verified Purchase

I was really excited to get this hutch. It looks really nice put together and my guinea pigs love it. I have run into two major problems. The first is that it hardly holds any sawdust and what it does hold falls out when you try to remove the trays. The cage has to be cleaned twice as often as other cages because of this. Second, the bottom tray allows massive leakage. I have had this cage for a little over a month and wish I hadn't spent the money on it. I will probably be going back to my more realistic C & C cage. Don't purchase this unless you are willing to deal with the mess that comes with it.

  • Duplex for two
    Verified Purchase

I have two rabbits that have always had their own bedroom- toys and hideouts galore, with a pet gate in the doorway. My husband and I have been making the necessary changes around the house as we are expecting our first baby. Alas, no more bunny room. I was devastated to have to take this away from them- so i searched the internet for hours to find a great hutch to keep in our office. I wanted something large and roomy- and I also didn't want to break the bank. This hutch fit the bill! The rabbits have been in their new hutch for three days now- and they absolutely love it! They use the ramp constantly to go upstairs and back down again. My husband used a staple gun to attach carpet to the ramp (on top of the shingles) because I was afraid that the rabbits would chew the shingles and get sick. The carpet works great. They do not slip and I don't have to worry about them eating shingles. I only gave 4 stars because the hutch could definitely be a bit more sturdy. I still open the doors and let them run around the office during the day, as rabbits need daily exercise and should never just be trapped in a cage. Also, you will have to take all of the pieces out of the box and let them air out for a few weeks because the chemical smell of the shingles is overpowering. Overall it is a great hutch for the price.

  • My rabbit LOVES it!
    Verified Purchase

My rabbit & I love this hutch. Plenty of room. In theory, it is great other than made of soft pine, but if it was made of hard wood it would be 5 times as much money! It is well worth the money spent. Great Offer Stock got the item to me quickly & safely. I did have my husband retrofit the door by cutting in half and only keeping the one side open on top level though. Seemed a bit too large for a small Holland Lop and I had read prior (not necessarily on here) but their rabbit fell from top and broke its back. Of course, I do not know if they had all the cube boards installed. None the less I did not want to take the chance! I recommend this hutch HIGHLY and I would purchase again. And I will probably need to in the future as my rabbit loves to taste test it :)

  • Great Hutch
    Verified Purchase

We are very happy with the hutch. Our mini lop has so much room to move around. Only problem is urine is leaking thru which seems to happen with most hutches. It is outdoors so it is not a huge problem.

  • Serviceable Hutch with Subpar Hardware
    Verified Purchase

Pet bunnies need at least one square foot of space per pound of rabbit. This hutch comfortably houses my bun, who has access to both levels. I could not recommend this as a housing solution for more than one bun, unless they were a mini breed. The cedar exterior looks great as an indoor piece of furniture, especially compared to the more commonly available plastic and wire hutch setups. The thick plywood used for the back and interior walls, and the plastic floor trays, all look like they will handle years of use. We're several months into owning this hutch, and my suggestion for improvement is that the hardware for the locks and hinges is a little cheap, and I will probably replace it with sturdier stuff over time, been watching the hardware store closeouts for what I want.
