I was so hopeful for this product... Here are the pros and cons. Pro: The material used for the top and sides is very sturdy. Our beagle who has ripped/ chewed up countless beds has attempted to dig his way into this bed without success. Pro and Con based on perspective: Inner bedding material tends to get lopsided and flattened on one end while puffing up the other end. Not a horrible thing as the dogs have figured out how to use the puffed up side as a pillow. Con: The material is SOOO fantastic that I can't figure out why the manufacturer wouldn't use this same material for the bottom. A porous, felt-like material was used for the bottom instead. This means that when the dog urinated on the water resistant top, the urine simply rolled off the bed, down the sides, then pooled onto/into the underside of the bed (onto the crate tray) and was subsequently soaked up by the felt, thereby giving the urine access to the filler. Pro and con: I was able to wash the cover to get it clean, but filler is not water resistant, thereby leaving residual urine small behind for the dogs to potentially mark the territory again. Summary: Great solution for a dog that tries to rip into it, but I'd think again if your dog is a perpetual urinator.
Read MoreMy Mastiff puppy is a notorious bed chewer. He has not tried to chew this bed, I believe it is because the cover is not soft and plush like most dog toys. Both of my large breed dogs love this bed, it is stuffed well for their big bodies and good for their joints. Would highly recommend.
Read MoreGreat quality and seems to be very durable for a rough dog like mine.
Read MoreIts a good, solid bed, soft and plush. My dog was able to chew a hole in it right away though. Other than that its everything its described to be.
Read MoreEven better than the picture shows. My dog and 2 cats fight over it all the time! Cover washes up nicely too, a big plus for me! Might have to purchase a smaller one for my cats.
Read MoreWe bought this bed in the largest size to sit on top of a very large ottoman we have in the living room. We have one dog and several cats and they all love it! It is extremely sturdy and the cats do not snag it with their claws. It is so easy to clean, as I use my regular vacuum with no special attachment necessary. Also, I washed the cover in the washing machine once and it washes beautifully. I put it in the dryer for a few minutes on air dry and hung it for the remainder of the drying process. I am thinking about getting more of these for other areas in the house, as the animals seem to be very happy with this purchase. If they are happy, it makes me happy.
Read MoreWe purchased this bed for our two pitbulls, who are usually pretty successful destroying dog beds within 24 hours of them entering our home. Even though they did manage to chew this one into a billion tiny pieces, it did last quite a bit longer than anything else we've ever purchased, so kudos to that.
Read MoreI am pleased with the beds we got for our English Mastiff puppy - 5 months old. Our two Boxers like them, too. I would like them more if the fabric used on the top had been used on the bottom and if the zipper ends were better concealed from chewers.
Read MoreMom bought this bed for the dog because it's says chew proof thinking the dog wouldn't be able to chew it up. About a month or so later the dog already has a hole it in and taken some of the stuffing out. Save your money if you have a dog that likes to chew up everything.
Read MoreOur dog refuses to sleep on it. Exterior seems sturdy but it's not soft fabric and the stuffing (pillow underneath) is also not soft fabric so it sounds like heavy nylon on heavy nylon.
Read MoreDog bed is great. My Pitbull loves it. Acts very proud when she lays on it.
Read MoreInitially my dog tried to get on it, but it must have felt weird because he could not get off it fast enough. Now he will not go near it. The cover is too big and does not fit the bed properly. Completely disappointing and a waste of money. Trying to figure out how to get it out of my house!
Read MoreThe durability of this dog bed is amazing!!! My dogs were a little hesitant at 1st to get on them, as they are 5 in. high & the jumbo size bed is literally the size of a toddler bed. A few more inches in length & width, it would be a twin bed. So, needless to say, they weren't quite sure what it was... I actually had to lay on the beds & they then figured it out. It is so comfortable, I sometimes wish it was mine. The memory foam is just perfect type for adequate support. The ONLY downside, is that on both beds, on the right side, middle edge area, there is a pretty major dip, which prevents bed from being level... I ended up putting a standard size flat bed pillow in that area under the bed & put bed against wall & problem solved!!! The cover is very easy to maintain... I just use a little woolite & water in a spray bottle & lightly spray & wipe down with a damp microfiber cloth & dry with microfiber towel. It dries in just minutes. I sometimes add a spritz of 5 drops of lavender essential oil & 16 oz. in spray bottle. It is a good way to refresh the bed & the relaxing benefits of the lavender aids in a great sleep!!! 💝🐶😌
Read MoreBought this bed for an 8 month old, Italian Greyhound/Fox Terrier. Within a week, he chewed holes in all four corners, which caused the shredded foam rubber to go everywhere.
Read MoreThis bed is very thick and stiff (maybe too stiff). The covering is waterproof although very slick, as a matter of fact my dogs slip off this bed regularly.
Read MoreNice bed, but way to thick for my senior Lab. He couldn't easily get onto it! Almost more like a air mattress.
Read MoreA few months ago we brought home another rescue dog. (Layla) She was 4 months old & the dog we had already (Shelby) was almost 2. Shelby had a nice soft, squishy bed in the living room, until Layla completely took it over (along w/our whole house) & chewed most of the stuffing out & totally destroyed it! When I saw these beds...that Layla could no longer use as a chew toy, I ordered 2 immediately. At first neither of them would go NEAR the beds. They were a bit slippery, due to it's chew proof & wipe clean material & the sound the material made when they walked on the beds, scared them. (Note: Shelby & Layla are afraid of EVERYthing!) One of the beds is a little uneven- it is noticeably higher on one side & they usually slide off, but it's not a big deal. They never did get used to the feeling of the material, (I guess they missed the soft cover they had before), so I covered each one with a twin fitted sheet. Many lazy naps have already gladly been taken :)
Read MoreI wish that the bottom of this dog bed was the same material as the top. The top was excellent and sturdy, but the bottom is the flimsy black meshing that my dogs love to destroy on dog beds. Thickness and comfort was fantastic. Chew resistant - not so much due to the bottom material.
