"Does the material cause static electricity on the dog?"
I have two dogs that love to snuggle under the covers. They both love this bed. The only problem was the plastic tubing that is meant to hold the blanket part open keeps popping out so I just removed it. The dogs still love the bed.

Not What The Ad Said It Was Have a 7 pound chihuahua. Ordered the smallest diameter of 26". Received a bed that was over 36" diameter. And there's no way to shrink the thing enough to return it. Passed it on to a friend witha big dog.

Our dachshunds love them but they need extra cover We purchased two of these beds and our dachshunds love them (one of the dogs in particular). The top layer is very thin, just two thin layers of the minky colored fabric. It is not the plush sherpa fleece fabric that you might think from the photos. We add our own fleece blanket to the inside. This also helps the dogs get in because it props the entrance up a bit more.

Not for dogs only ! ! I purchased this bed for an elderly cat with arthritis hoping to give her a comfortable place to sleep with better support so she would rest easier... I just ordered 2 more because all the cats (we have 6) want to snuggle on the bed. The bed is big enough that 2 cats can easily fit in or on it... but 6 cannot!!

Love it The first thing is when they first come they are shrink wrapped and so it'll appear flat at first but the foam will expand back out. There is room to put another layer of egg crate if your pet needs it, which I thought was great. It is easy to get the tube in and out, and the fact that you can easily remove and put the foam back in is huge for us. It's really easy to wash or just vacuum off. We will be ordering more at some point and I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a bed for their pet.

Sheepskin snuggery burrow orthopedic dog bed Nice firm bed. My yorkie went right underneath the canopy and then would not go in till I removed the plastic insert on the canopy. ( Has a slit to remove the bar) Would have giving it a 5 star rating if the canopy was higher. Highly recommend for the comfort and warmth it provides for dogs.

AMine causes no static on the dogs at all. We bought it for our 6 lb. Malti-Poo, but one of our two Cocker Spaniels are just as likely to be sleeping on it as he is. They all trade beds at some point during the day or night, and I've petted all three while they're on the bed and never felt any static. Hope this helps. BTW: This is the nicest, most comfortable looking and feeling pet bed I've purchased, and the other two we have cost much more than this one.

I bought 2 of the 26" ones for our chihuahuas and they are just right. The large is 35", I don't think the extra 9" would be enough for your doberman to fit and be truly comfortable. Hope this helps in your decision.

We recently adopted a 1 year old daschund puppy that likes to burrow under the covers. He also happens to have 3 usable legs thus a tripod. I think that having the orthopedic aspect night make it easier for him by providing more support.. Additionally we have a small female dog that will be 13 years old next April and the orthopedic aspect will be good for too. . They both love the soft crates we have however they are old and I want to replace them hoping that this bed will be loved equally.
