I would not spend $400+ on a dog crate... and these look like ones priced that high.
I did not have any issues putting it together. It took a bit of time, but was not difficult. My only issue was that a screw popped out for the lock hardware... but was easily fixed.
I bought 2 of these, to upgrade the look... and give my dogs more head room... from their plastic travel crates. I would buy again!
***Note: I would not use these for a puppy, until they were beyond the chewing and potty training stages! I would train a dog in a plastic or metal crate, and graduate them to these. ANY dog (big or small) is capable of chewing through or marring a wood crate. Most of this wood is what I would consider good medium density. You know your own dog. If they are an adult chewer, or escape artist... no wood crate would be wise. But for many dogs, these are a fantastic looking den that they can enjoy safely.
