Very nice, just too small for kitchen, but well made

I love this garbage can! It has a soft-close lid and is easy to keep clean.

No more stooping over! The height is what I like and also the slow closing of the lid. I highly recommend this superhuman steel plastic round step can.

I bought this to replace the same model when the pedal snapped after about 3 years use. Nice, simple design and very little to go wrong. Good value.

I bought this based off of the good reviews others posted. They must have been written by Simplehuman employees because it deserves zero stars. What they don't tell you is that this can doesn't have a standard lid that holds trash bags; instead, you have to buy specially fitted bags that are expensive and only found in limited locations. Why anyone would want to buy speciality trash bags is beyond me. This can doesn't have anything to hold bags in place other than a plastic hole around the lid where you stuff the excess bag material in to "hold" it in place. Then you pray you don't throw anything in it that's heavy enough to pull the bag out. And, the bag rips when you take it out of the weird plastic hole holder. It's just stupid. Why anyone would design this and then sell it is ridiculous. This is the worst trash ever and it was promptly returned.
