So I ordered this knife price was the best I could find on line, however the shipping was very poor it took almost a week after I purchased to ship! And another week to receive!!! And the package was all torn and smashed!!!! The handle of as damage!!! Very disappointed!!!

It's like a beautifully made art work, yet with excellent performance for its real jobs. Recommend for all.

This wonderful knife is razor-sharp. It is well-balanced and beautifully made. Admittedly, even at Overstock's price, the best I could find, it is expensive, but worth it. (The Yaxell Ran, for about $100 less, is equally well made. The main differences are fewer layers of damascus, and somewhat softer steel.) Although I still use my Henkels 4-Star for some tasks, the Yaxell Gou is now the one I reach for first.
