debiingalls Rating:5.0I used this raised bed for 4 tomato plants and lined the outside with flowers so it is beautiful as well.. The yard is very rocky and filling this with purchased soil was much easier than caring for my flower beds. I put a liner down first and have had no problem with weeds and the tomatoes have really produced. I water frequently since even the rain seeps through to the ground. Definitely worth my money.

Elizabeth W. Rating:5.0My garden soil is very good although it is more that I can handle at my age. I was able to till the soil and get it ready for planting. The machine is light weight and worked the soil very well with out hurting my arms and joints.

Brian C. Rating:5.0This little guy is perfect when compared to the small gas powered cultivators, I've had two gas powered 2 cycle powered gas cultivators and they both simply quit working after the initial use, the carburetor was flawed from the beginning, wouldn't start once it sat for a season no matter how well I cleaned the fuel system. This electrics model is perfect, works like a charm and does what it's supposed to do. I think people tend to buy cultivators thinking its a cheaper option to a tiller and it is but they are not tillers, if you have grass that need turned under, rent a tiller to break up the soil, then use your cultivator to maintain the soil and you'll have exactly what you need to garden every year from there on out. This little machine has all the powere you need and then some to get the job done. Enjoy!

intrepidpat Rating:5.0I like to do most of my garden work myself, but being 68 this month, it is hard to bend on my knees to weed an till the soil! I was a little doubtful how well this electric tiller would work. WOW was I pleased with the results. The little guy just worked his little heart out, and did better than I thought it could. Easy to handle, not to heavy and a lot of good soil tilling. This little guy is my new gardener. Thanks Earthwise for a job well done!!!

OstkUser29555 Rating:4.0I bought this to break up about 400 SF of clayey rocky soil in Helotes Texas that was severely compacted from having run a trackhoe over the area. I had just used the trackhoe to repair my septic outfall. Anyways, the soil was so compact (clay dries into hard rock-like clumps, difficult to manually break up) I would not be able to revegetate the area without breaking it up first. It was so hard I had to use a pick to bust it up. It didnt take but a few minutes to realize that job was way too hard and would take way too long for my 53 year old back. I decided power equipment was needed. I could rent a heavy duty tiller for 4 hours for perhaps $$ bucks. That would have cut thru the soil like butter but there is the hassle of going and getting it, lifting it in and out of my truck, cleaning and returning it all on the rental time clock. Instead, this unit had good reviews, cost only $$$ bucks, free shipping, and if I didnt destroy it I would be able to keep it for future use. If it got the job done I would call it a good value. Some assembly is required but its easy. The unit is very lightweight and I slowly worked the area for about 2 hours, having to stop and pick rocks out frequently. I was concerned about damaging the tines. It did a great job. The soil is as fluffy as can be now. Its a little bit of a hassle dealing with the extension cord in the work area, but in the grand scheme that is just a minor inconvenience. Overall, the unit was worth every penny. I think as long as I remain cognizant about not hitting large rocks or large roots I can get alot of use out of this item in the future.

cathe25 Rating:5.0Great tiller. We're not farmers, just using it to till up garden beds and the like. Does everything we need it to quickly and efficiently - it really tears through even the most compacted soil. Highly recommended!
The first Arbor Day took place in Nebraska City, Nebraska, on April 10, 1872. It is estimated that one million trees were planted that day. The idea of a holiday celebrating trees took hold; by the 1920s, every state in the US had passed a law stipulating that Arbor Day be observed on the last Friday in April. In Nebraska, it's observed as a civic holiday. Planting a tree is the most customary way to observe Arbor Day, but there are other ways to celebrate, too. Celebrate Arbor Day: Make it personal: Make this Arbor Day special by personalizing it to you. Enjoy the outdoors. Read More
