Wonderful waffles
I used this waffle iron for the first time last night and I love it. I am a big belgian waffle fan so I was excited to try this waffle maker out. It performed exactly as expected. I did have to leave the waffles in a little longer than the timer since I like them a little crunchy. Next time I will turn it up to the next setting on the dial. Very impressed and pleased with this product.

Great waffles, but don't touch the exterior!
Like most relatively inexpensive waffle maker, the exterior of this one gets extraordinarily hot. Don't let your kids touch the circular section where the waffles are made. The black "stripes" in the circular sections will singe. With that warning out of the way, this waffle maker is great. I purchased (then returned) two All-Clad waffle makers before purchasing this Waring, which makes MUCH better waffles than the anemic, pale, uneven, and floppy ones form the All Clads. If you like browned waffles, get the Waring. The waffles are evenly cooked (slightly more browned towards the back), and making two at once is a so convenient. Don't overfill and you won't have any batter dripping out the sides.

I just bought a new waring pro waffle maker and it does not work. The green lights will not come on and it just keeps beeping. In addition, it cooks the waffle on the top and does not brown the bottom of the waffle. The biggest problem is that I cannot return it to greatofferstock.com so I am stuck with a *** waffle maker that does not work. I have ordered from greatofferstock.com for a long time and many items. This will be the last purchase I make.

Doesn't Hold the PRO label seriously
Written 4 years later: The waffle iron was used maybe once a month. Today the device that balanced it snapped and broke. For a "Pro" listing @ $** this should not have happened.

I purchased this exact iron in the "Commercial" version for our coffee shop. The only difference I can see is the commercial stamp. The thing was a work horse. Once you get the temp dialed in, it makes perfect waffles every time. It seemed to work better when cooking two because of the flipping. I would flip even you are just cooking one
