The pad does not hold rug in place at all. Does add some cushion but wish it had a backing to help not move.

I just got it 2 days ago. It's nice. It's s good thickness. I did also get a pad for underneath. It doesn't look thin or cheap as done reviews said. It's not paper white, it's a true ivory. I'm happy with it. No smell also. (As done rugs can have)

This pad works beautifully. I have one under a rug at the door. Even though it gets a lot of use, the rug does not slip thanks to this thick, quality pad.

I bought my rug for the entry on travertine tile, and I was worried about slipping. This double sided pad is perfect and the rug doesn't slip at all now. It is not a thick pad, so it doesn't add much height to your rug, which is great! I used this on a 5' rug, and it works great.

This rug pad is great quality and fit perfectly under my 4 foot round rug. Didn't need to cut it at all! As good as you'll find anywhere!!!

We have this under a 4' round rug and it adds a little bit of height. Since the rug itself doesn't overlap the edges of the pad, occasionally we accidentally bump up against the edges. Not a hazard but a slight annoyance.
