genius or scam If these gadgets were included in sale of any slip cover, l'd say they are a great product. But having no choice but to purchase them separately, after paying for and trying out a slip cover without them, feels a little dishonest. Covers and grips should be sold as one, because one without the other is useless.

Best thing since sliced bread These things are wonderful. Every time my dog would jump on the couch the cover would pop out. since I got the Grips....It never happen again. They keep it tucked in perfectly.

Stays In Place I have always used furniture covers on my sofa as it gets the most use. I like the one piece covers, less work, but even the more expensive sofa covers don't stay in place. I came across these grips as I was browsing Overstock's sofa slipcovers which was a perfect place to offer these grips. So I decided to try the grips with my old slipping slipcover first. They work great! Over time and use, like anything they will loosen but, I no longer have to straighten the slipcover everyday! Once a week maybe and even then, it's not even that jostled up. Very pleased cause they work!

My chair isn't normal. I only gave these a four but would have given them a five if a chair had a real cushion. With my chair I can't push them down very far because the seat isn't a removable cushion. With a removable cushion chair, you could push them through the bottom of the chair if you wanted to. They are a great idea.

melinda I have a large couch, chair and love seat. They are also made of Pleather. I have a hard time finding a slipcover to fit! I read the reviews and decided to try it. One such person asked if these slip covers would work on a leather couch, your reply was that these would not work. I was bummed because I wanted the Shabby Shic look in my living room and I was sick of my black furniture! So I got to thinking and thought I would also order some Martha Stewart rug non-slip pads. I did. I put them on my furniture, used a piece of good old Duct tape to secure them and threw on my furniture covers and Wah-La it worked! I also got from this site the Tuck once furniture grips and they really do help at keeping the covers tucked in!
