  • Gorgeous!! Good investment!

I'm pleased to report that the "workcenter" is as described. I've been shopping for awhile at many different online sites and local stores to be disappointed in not finding the size or quality I was wanting. This is perfect! Wide enough for storage of my smaller appliances that took up a lot of countertop space and not too long that it took up too much space. The wood grain is a perfect match for my oak cabinets. My husband loves the quality, he works a lot with wood and he also had no difficulty putting it together, about 30-45 min.! I didn't want to spend that much $$ on an "island" but we are remodeling and my husband wouldn't be able to build one for awhile and he said this quality is well worth the money! So happy we got this, We've received so many compliments on it!

Love my new island! It arrived in 2 boxes, which were quite heavy. But, I was able to wrangle them into the house and my husband spent the evening assembling the cabinet. I love the color and every piece is high quality! Am thinking of painting the back with chalk paint, as it faces our eating area in the kitchen. But, the plain back is lovely too, as it is the same color as the rest of the cabinet.

Love the end product and the quality! It will need some oil on top and I'd prefer to give the body some glossy protection from food stains. This wasn't too difficult to put together - if you follow the pictures more than paying attention to the wording. Odd, but true. Also, to save everyone a headache - the drawer slides that attach to the drawer itself, are illustrated wrong in the instructions, flip them over so the short part of the "claw" is on top. There's actually a video on Catskill Craftsmen that shows assembly by model number and he, too, puts them on opposite the instructions. You'll know if it's wrong because the drawer will only close half way.
