I paid my Superintendant to assemble it bc I knew I couldn't do it based on the other reviews I read about this product. My super is s real handyman and generally really fast/resourceful and this assembly took him 3 hours!! I got the product on sale for *** ish and I paid him *** for assembly. In the end, awesome product, everything lined up (cabinets, sliding doors). But I think it's bc I got a professional to spend 3 hours on it.

Solid & Lovely! We love this item. It came together great and was put together in about an hour and a half. One only thing was the top was scratched (about a 1.5 inch one) at the back corner and didn't see it until it was completed...but we are making it work because we didn't want to take it all apart again. Overall very happy with the style and color of it. Hope to get the buffet too!

"The dimensions say the internal shelf space, without the middle shelf, is 13.5 inches high. This is the total internal height if the shelf if removed? It also lists the unit height as 22.8 inches high. I assume this is not counting the legs so it's the height of the wood box itself if resting on the floor without legs? If the height is truly 22.8 inches then it doesn't make sense that the internal storage height is only 13.5 inches. It doesn't look like the thickness of the wood takes up 9 inches. What am I misunderstanding?"

The dimensions are accurate.

It's 22.8 inches high with the legs. I have to warn you though, I am using mine without the legs. If you use them, make sure you don't move or adjust the piece. If you try to scoot it over even an inch the legs will tilt (even if screwed on tightly) and come off causing it to tip over or collapse. A few of the other reviews mention this also. I had to call customer service to have them send more legs. Those broke also so they had to discount it since it was already put together and I was unable to assemble it and pack it back up.
